Job Title: Development Associate
Reports to: InterimDirector of Development
King seeks a Development Associate who will provide administrative support to the Development Office and participate in all fundraising activities. Duties will include supporting both advancement services and the annual fund, as well as overall administrative support for the Director of Development. Primary daily tasks include gift processing, gift acknowledgements, and pledge reminders; database maintenance; budget and invoice tracking; direct mail appeals; annual fund email appeals; and calendar management.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Perform daily accurate gift entry and tracking of donors’ pledges and payments, stock/property, and all other gifts as received to King School according to established protocols. This includes processing matching gifts, responding to any outreach and questions from companies and from constituents, completing and submitting forms, ensuring accurate gift entry, distributing daily gift log and managing the pledge reminder process.
Assist the Director of Prospect Management & Stewardship in maintaining the Raiser's Edge database, ensuring accuracy of information and following all protocols; act as the primary person to input/output, update, and maintain constituent records.
Prepare lists for all major development mailings, including the Annual Report, King Fund solicitations, and the Printer’s Proof.
Create online donation forms and serve as a resource for online giving management tools.
Work with the Director of Prospect Management & Stewardship to address Business Office needs such as weekly, monthly and annual gift account reconciliation; financial reporting on endowment funds; special assessments and audits as needed; liaising with the cashier’s office regarding deposits.
Assist Director of Prospect Management and Stewardship, particularly over the summer, gathering data for new parent research.
Provide support to the King Fund program and daily operations of the annual giving processes and procedures.
Liaise with print and design vendors on fulfillment logistics.
Oversee invoice submission process.
Office supply management and inventory, including Digital Storefront.
Reconcile monthly credit card charges.
Serve as calendar manager for the Development team.
Provide administrative support for the Director of Development.
Assist with travel arrangements, stewardship arrangements, volunteer and donor recognition.
Provide event support.
Occasional weekend and evening duties.
All other duties as required by the Director of Development.
Requirements and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Preferred 2-3 years of professional work experience in a development, fundraising, office logistics, or customer relations role.
Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and reconciliation preferred.
Knowledge of database management, as well as leveraging data integration tools, preferred.
Work independently, solve problems, handle confidential information and navigate sensitive situations.

Excellent communication skills and ability to constructively collaborate with colleagues.
Excellent organizational and planning skills as well as superior attentiveness to detail;
