Research Grant Specialist I - Regenerative Medicine Institute

The Cedars-Sinai Board of Governors Regenerative Medicine Institute (RMI) brings together research faculty and clinicians to provide a true "bench to bedside" organization. Our aim is to prevent and treat the world's most prevalent diseases through cell revitalization and transplantation. As part of the RMI team, the Research Grant Specialist I (RGSI) Pre- and Post- Award works with PI's and senior level research administrators to complete and prepare for submittal of federal, non-federal and foundation grants. Serves as the liaison between departments or research groups, Sponsored Research & Funds Administration, Accounting and Finance departments. This role performs all pre- and post-award administrative functions, including but not limited to: preparing and routing internal documents for signature and processing, reviewing technical sections of proposals to ensure requirements are met, preparing and/or reviewing budgets, maintaining clear understanding of grant budgets and expenditure restrictions. Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local agencies including the National Institute of Health (NIH), Department of Defense (DOD), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), CIRM and the Institutional Review Board. This position will report to senior level research administrators for day to day supervision of work. Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
