The Board of Directors of Junior Achievement of Boise, ID Inc., invites applicants for the position of President. Competitive candidates will demonstrate a successful record of executive level leadership, sales/fund development, board development, staff leadership and program management/innovation.
Throughout our history, Junior Achievement’s core purpose to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in the global economy has remained. The delivery of our mission however has evolved to meet the needs of today’s students and the complexities of the modern world. Junior Achievement moves this work forward through hands-on programs and experiences that promote work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy.
The President leads a major Junior Achievement area, and as such plays an integral role in the operation and future direction of the local organization. This individual is responsible for developing and implementing a strategic plan that will ensure the continued growth and expansion of the organization. They act as the primary representative for Junior Achievement, promoting the mission to school districts, business leaders, partners and donors in this territory. The President will interface with market leaders in business, government and education, as well as with JA colleagues across the nation.
The President will be responsible for managing the operation. They will also be responsible for providing leadership to the organization’s program portfolio while meeting annual fundraising and special campaign goals through multiple strategic corporate partnerships, high net-worth individuals and foundations.

Fundraising – proven track record for the art and the science of fundraising, translating strategy into action, with clear definitions of success and operational rigor
Strategic Partnerships – managing complexity of multi-faceted corporate partnerships; both strategic revenue generation and volunteer engagement
Team-Building – proven ability to strengthen and grow a comprehensive development function within an ambitious, fast-paced organization

Strategic Systems Thinking – ability to manage complexity and scale; understanding overall organization connections and how to leverage them to enhance JA's position in our market

Qualified candidates will have 10 years of demonstrated success in management positions within nonprofit organizations or corporate/business environments. Prior success in business development, fund raising, and board relations is essential. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required; CFRE is preferred.
