Scope of Responsibility: Provide leadership for developing, proposing, promoting, executing and coordinating fund raising and related programs for Greencroft Communities regional and local markets served. Responsible to facilitate the functioning of Greencroft Foundation, Inc. in all appropriate ways, assisting it to carry out the assignment defined in its charter. Position Greencroft Foundation to actively, aggressively and successfully grow endowments and undesignated revenues.
Carry out duties and function to support Greencroft Communities as assigned.
Live the mission and values to improve the quality of services for residents and team members on the Greencroft Communities campus.
Respect residents’ rights and adhere to rules of resident care and services as described in the Greencroft Communities Employee Handbook.
Manage the work of the various system foundations and committees to ensure the highest levels of philanthropic support for our communities.
Manage the daily operations of the giving and fund-raising activities of the organization.
Coordinate the day to day details of the Foundation operations, i.e., Annual Campaign, Routine Gifts, Year-end Gifts, Special Gifts, Deferred Gifts, Capital Campaign, etc.
Provide and plan educational events for residents and prospective donors on deferred giving.
Coordinate preparation and submission of selected proposals for funding to public and private grant making organizations in cooperation with the Marketing Department.
Perform the research, cultivation, solicitation and recognition necessary for major gift prospects and donors.
Coordinate preparation of special campaign materials, reports and events.
Prepare with the Vice President of Marketing for Greencroft and other publics served, those brochures/written materials related to the Foundation and fund raising efforts.
Coordinate corporate and individual solicitations.
Plan and execute special event fund raising efforts.
Function as the representative of the Foundation Board in carrying out its policies and procedures.
Oversee the addition of donor information to develop data base from existing and new donor prospect lists.
Provide that the Foundation is operated within the law at all times.
Position Requirements: A. Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Graduate schooling preferred.
5-10 years experience in fund raising management involving 501(c)(3)s strongly preferred.
Previous grant writing experience required.
