Southlake Regional Health Centre Foundation (Southlake Foundation) Southlake Foundation was established in 1980 and has been the fundraising partner to Southlake Regional Health Centre (Southlake) ever since, working with our donors and volunteers to build healthy communities and to shape the future of healthcare. Located in the heart of York Region, Southlake is a full-service hospital with a regional, clinically advanced focus. As a regionally designated site, Southlake is responsible for developing and providing advanced levels of care to the more than one million people who reside in York Region, Simcoe County, and as far north as Muskoka. Advanced, specialty services include: arthritis care, cancer care, cardiac care, cataract surgery, child and adolescent eating disorders, mental health services for children, paediatrics and perinatal care, and thoracic surgery.
The Position Building on more than two successive years of fundraising success, and with a new strategic plan guiding our future growth, we are looking for an entrepreneurial fundraising leader to join our team on a contract basis as Senior Officer, Annual Fund. Reporting to the Vice President, Marketing & Donor Experience, the Senior Officer, Annual Fund is a key member of the team, providing leadership to annual fundraising programs, including direct accountability for the development and implementation of fundraising activities for all annual giving channels. The Senior Officer has oversight for the work of the Annual Giving Coordinator, and a focus on Mid-level Giving and Hospital Family donors and prospects.
Duties and responsibilities
Develop, implement and manage a multi-channel Annual Giving program to acquire, retain and upgrade donors
Manage all aspects of the Annual Giving program, including vendor partners, expansion and channel integration of overall campaign as well as concept development and budget creation and management
Manage comprehensive staff engagement (“Hospital Family”) strategy to maximize opportunities for the Foundation
Extract and conduct program and campaign evaluation and analysis to inform data driven decisions in a timely manner
Ensure donor centric gift acknowledgement, recognition and stewardship of annual donors
Participate actively as a member of an integrated Fundraising Team
Responsible for providing leadership to the Annual Giving Coordinator, and providing coaching to guide results for the Direct Marketing portfolio
Qualifications and Experience
A University Degree or a combination of relevant education and experience deemed equivalent; CFRE designation preferred
5 years of progressive experience in managing and growing high-performance fundraising programs, with a focus on annual giving
Experience in a not-for-profit healthcare philanthropy organization a definite asset
Excellent written and oral communications
Exceptional project management skills
Demonstrated ability to extract, analyze and present data to inform data driven decision making
Proven track record of achieving fundraising goals
Strong analytical skills including the ability to analyze trends from quantitative and qualitative data
Excellent organization, planning and time management skills and exacting attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit; experience leading a team considered an asset
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and be self-motivated in a high pressure and demanding work environment
Professionalism, judgment and discretion in dealing with confidential and sensitive matters essential
Proficient in the use of all corporate productivity tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer as well as Raiser’s Edge or other donor database management systems
Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of the mission and values of Southlake Foundation
Southlake Foundation offers a competitive compensation package, including a benefits package that with a defined-benefit pension program. Remuneration will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
