The Senior Development Officer will be responsible for significantly increasing institutional giving, donor engagement, and the new prospect pipeline. The Senior Development Officer will have the unique opportunity to strategically interact with donors to achieve the goals and impact the mission of the Alamo Colleges Foundation.
Reports to the Executive Director of Institutional Advancement.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or a combination of relevant experience, education and training that equates to the required degree.
Seven years of experience as a professional fundraiser.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in communication, marketing, business, non-profit management, or related field.
Ten years of fundraising experience in all sectors (individuals, foundations and corporations) including the identification and engagement of new donors, renewing and upgrading donors.
Fundraising experience in a higher education environment.
Experience with Planned Giving.
Marketing/public relations experience.
Licenses and Certifications:
Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) preferred.
Must possess a valid driver license. Must be insurable through Alamo Colleges’ insurers.
