Capital Campaigns/Endowment, Development – General, Major Gifts

Summary of Position: Work with assigned clientele to customize and implement a feasibility study and capital campaign to raise funds for specified purposes. Counsel, support and motivate leadership and volunteers to communicate the case for fundraising and to solicit gifts.
Responsibilities: Including, but not limited to…
Coordinate feasibility studies components including scheduling and conducting personal interviews, mail questionnaire to constituents, post online questionnaire, gather all responses, compile data and perform questionnaire analysis for reporting.
Customize and, if necessary, design and produce feasibility study materials, including: case statement of needs, announcement letters and questionnaires; facilitate and direct distribution of the materials.
Plan and schedule capital campaign components including campaign theme, timeline, major gift visits, receptions, memorial opportunities and social media blasts.
Secure data and perform wealth screenings to analyze and determine appropriate donor ask levels.
Customize and, if necessary, design and produce campaign materials including major gift and general brochures; reception invitations; announcement, follow-up and thank you letters; pledge cards, workers’ kits, videos, announcements and other communications.
Facilitate direct mailing process including materials content and approvals between client and printer.
Execute capital campaigns including Major Gift visits, arrangements and presentations for receptions; all announcements and communications.
Skillfully manage relationships with Leadership, Staff and Volunteers.
Give high priority to recruiting, training, leading and motivating volunteers for campaign chair, major gifts committee, team captains, parish visitation and hospitality committee.
Prepare final campaign report regarding the success of the campaign.

Position Requirements: B.A. or B.S. required; high school development experience; computer literate; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrates initiative and self-direction; strong organizational planning skills; openness to regular travel; strong writing skills; knowledge of the Catholic Church a plus; proficiency in social media platforms for future strategies; high level of tact and professionalism as well as strict confidentiality required in personal and phone contacts; church/parish experience a plus; at least two years as a Campaign Director or equivalent experience.
