The Major Gifts Officer is a critical member of the development department and is responsible for development and overall management of the major gifts program, including planning, coordinating, designing and implementing strategies for cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of all individuals making major gifts. The MGO is responsible for establishing and meeting an annual revenue target by working with an assigned portfolio of donors and prospects to advance the mission of the organization. The MGO will help establish and oversee donor portfolios managed by the Donor Data manager, the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Development Officer and the Director of Fundraising. The MGO oversees a portfolio of more than $1 million
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree; a Master’s degree is preferred. Experience planning, developing and leading individual major gift fundraising, with a proven record of success. Progressive experience in the successful development of major gift programs and a highly proficient working in NXT Raiser’s Edge.

The mission of Lowcountry Food Bank (LCFB) is to lead the fight against hunger in our community. Lowcountry Food Bank was founded in 1983 as a clearinghouse for donated food items through the generosity of Trident United Way and Coastal Community Foundation.
