Position Title:Manager I,Prospect Development & Research Manager Department/Location: Charitable Giving - Analytics Unit/Baltimore

The Manager of Prospect Development & Research is responsible for supervising and ensuring the rigor, accuracy, and strategy for all analytics efforts related to Prospect Development (Prospect Research, Network Mapping and Prospect Management) within Charitable Giving. This pivotal role is imperative in helping Charitable Giving raise the greatest amount of private funds possible to help the poorest of the poor overseas.
The Manager of Prospect Development & Research will be expected to lead, manage, and implement a pro-active and rigorous approach to donor pipeline development. They will oversee and supervise the processes and procedures for the Opportunity Management (moves management) system, ensuring good data governance, cohesive analytical approach, and disciplined execution. He/she will manage all aspects of Prospect Research and Network Mapping to ensure that research on donors and prospects and their spheres of influence is used to maximize funds raised.
He/she will also work closely with the Director of Analytics & Prospect Development to develop and implement the vision/strategy for portfolio management for Charitable Giving.
It is essential that the Manger be a strong leader, critical and strategic thinker, and an astute manager as he/she will oversee and manage a multi-faceted team and influence strategy development for donor and prospects across multiple units.
In addition, the Manager will be a strong and crucial member of the overall 'Analytics Team', which will strive to make Charitable Giving efforts more: * Analytically Driven * Data Focused * and Rigorously Tested.
Lead and manage the Prospect Management efforts on behalf of Charitable Giving, in close consultation with CG Leadership through cross-unit collaboration.
Supervise the Prospect Management Analyst to successfully govern and execute the scope of work and data analysis.
Work closely with CG Leadership to monitor, evaluate and ensure the optimization of portfolios.
Provide resources and support to CG Leadership including -- reports, written analysis and other tools.
Manage Prospect Research Analyst and provide direction on workflow, projects and processes.
Adapt Prospect Research policies and guidelines as needed based on department priorities.
Provide opportunities on training and development related to the Prospect Research field.
Support Prospect Research Analyst in conducting in-depth biographical, philanthropic and financial analysis on prospective and current donors.
Manage the Network Mapping Analyst and support him/her in developing policies and procedures for relationship mapping.
Provide opportunities on training and development related to Network Mapping.
Manage workflow as the Network Mapping Analyst will also support Prospect Research Analyst as needed.
Support Network Mapping Analyst in conducting in-depth social networking mapping and analysis on prospective and current donors.
Other Duties As Assigned
As co-lead of the Relationship Management Council will work across Charitable Giving units to develop processes and procedures that strengthen Charitable Giving's ability to identify, develop and manage relationships with CRS prospects.
Develop strategies for how to utilize people, process, and technology to help CG identify the best prospects for its programs.
Keeps abreast of new practices in prospect research, analytics, data mining, relationship mapping and philanthropy.
Collaborate closely with the Charitable Giving Analytics Manager to assist in guiding the planning and distribution of Tableau dashboards and reporting for prospect management efforts
Fosters collaboration between the Prospect Development Team and other CG staff.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes. Supervising the Prospect Research Analysts, Network Mapping Analyst and Prospect Management Analyst.
