Job Summary

The Annual Giving Coordinator works under general supervision to administer annual giving programs and activities that increase fundraising participation at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. The coordinator manages online, direct mail, and telemarketing campaigns alongside the Texas A&M University-Kingsville Foundation, Inc., an affiliated 501(c), its Board of Trustees, and various campus leaders. This position reports to the Executive Director of Advancement Operations within the Division of Institutional Advancement. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Solicits prospects for gifts and sponsorships from annual giving societies.

  • Assist with alumni engagement process to include attending events off campus.

  • Prepares annual work plans, procedures, and policies.

  • Maintains positive relationships and provides stewardship for gifts.

  • Plans and implements multiple direct mail and email appeals on a periodic basis.

  • Develops and maintains an online giving program and social network initiative.

  • Works with Advancement team and various campus constituencies to assist with campus fundraising.

  • Provides written information and reports as requested.

Minimum Requirements

Education – Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience – No prior experience required

Knowledge of – Knowledge of database, spreadsheet, and web-based communication applications.

Ability to – Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.  Ability to work in an environment of constant demands and frequent interruptions. Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.

Preferred Requirements

Education – Bachelor’s degree

Experience – 1-year prior fundraising experience and/or related experience in communications and marketing. 2-4 years of fundraising experience and/or related experience in communications and marketing

Knowledge of – Project management – from development, prioritization to executive of action plans - in a timely, efficient and effective manner. Experience with Raiser’sEdge/RENXT, GiveCampus, and email marketing.

Ability to – Work both independently and cooperatively while representing the university and Division of Institutional Advancement teams among various stakeholders including alumni, donors, students, faculty/staff, community members, and volunteers.
