Implement a comprehensive private foundation advancement plan. Identify, research and maintain foundations’ profiles; develop and implement cultivation strategies; solicit qualified prospects, and create stewardship strategies for private foundations.
Build relationships with key decision makers within global private foundations through personal visits and extensive professional communication.
Maintain strong relationships with private foundations to raise Project HOPE’s profile and ensure increased business opportunities.
Collaborate with program leads and regional directors at HOPE to draft proposal narratives, budget design, institutional capacity statements, past performance reports, key personnel biographies, and other relevant sections of proposals.
Establish and manage the proposal timeline, deliverables, and assignments, including overseeing the final packaging and proposal submissions.
Collaborate with the Development and Communication team to implement the foundation advancement plan; respond to episodic external events.
Track the private foundation advancement plan; project grant income; monitor grant revenue; review win and loss notifications; and revise strategies to meet revenue goals.

10+ years’ experience in a non-profit fundraising environment with track record of developing strong partnerships with global private foundations.
Energetic, action-oriented leader with a stellar record of achievement in business development with private foundations.
Experience in developing concept papers and proposals with foundations and cultivating decision makers.
Demonstrated knowledge of global public health and private foundation-funded programming.
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
Outstanding interpersonal skills; ability to interact with broad and diverse audiences, including high-level private foundation decision-makers
Experience in managing a CRM system to inform strategies, investments, and senior management decision-making.
Experience navigating and building relationships within complex organizations to deliver results.
Experience managing private foundations within a country where humanitarian and/or development programs are being implemented.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively on a team and maintain a positive attitude.
Bachelor’s degree in related field, preferred.
Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) or equivalent, preferred.
Ability to travel as needed, including internationally. Note: Project HOPE employees work in the global health field and may be required to travel or work in countries where working conditions are classified as “hardship.”
