SpiriTrust Lutheran is seeking an energetic, creative and goal-oriented leader with a proven track-record of taking an established fundraising program to impressive new heights. The successful candidate will embrace the core values of our faith-based, social-service organization and demonstrate an understanding of how these values impact donor relationships.
As a member of the Executive Team, the successful candidate will be integral in achieving the overall strategic direction of SpiriTrust Lutheran. The Vice President (VP) of Donor Relationships and Gift Planning will report to the President/ CEO. He or she will work closely with other senior leaders, staff and the boards to foster a “culture of philanthropy” where everyone throughout the organization is a part of the donor relations team. He or she will build a program that creates meaningful opportunities for the organization to engage its many stakeholders and inspire volunteerism.
The ideal candidate will have experience in leading and managing a comprehensive philanthropic program. This includes experience with annual and capital campaigns that encompass individual, foundation and corporate giving. The ideal candidate will also have a depth of personal experience in building relationships over time and securing significant major and planned gifts.
Based on its operations, SpiriTrust Lutheran is named on the Ziegler list of top multi-service providers of senior services in the nation. The qualified candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of seven years of progressive fundraising experience including 3 years of senior management experience. . A master’s degree is preferred. Direct experience with a multi-site, multi-service organization is also preferred. CFRE accreditation or equivalent is normally required. The position involves engagement will all of the constituencies and communities served by SpiriTrust Lutheran.
