Qualified fundraising professionals and consulting firms are invited to apply and compete for a contract to provide consultancy services in a major international fundraising campaign for the elimination of viral hepatitis. The successful incumbent will work closely with EndHEP2030’s Oversight Committee and a Communications Consultant to develop a strategic framework and implement action plans for the first phase of the fundraising campaign. This includes but not limited to:
Advise EndHEP2030 on fundraising strategies and approaches;
Research prospective donors capable of leadership donations and understand/map their networks;
Prioritize prospects by ability and likelihood of donations;
Create a strong fundraising message that appeals to potential donors;
Formulate strategic fundraising framework for short-term and longer-term plans;
Raise US$350,000 by December 2018 for a challenge grant;
Initiate actions toward raising at least US$5 million by summer 2019 for a challenge grant;
Identify, cultivate, and contact potential donors in consultation with Oversight Committee;
Maintain records of donor information for future use; and
Evaluate cases of successful fundraising campaigns by international health programs;
Interview Oversight Committee members to evaluate campaign readiness, provide them with information and preparation to make informed asks.
It is anticipated that the consultancy will initially last 6 months from May 2018 – October 2018.
The remuneration for this contract is in the range of US$100,000 - $120,000 depending on experience, plus reimbursable expenses.
There’re no geographic restrictions (domicile or jurisdictional) prescribed to this call for proposal to provide consultancy services.
Competency and Skills
A minimum of 10 years in major fundraising field;
A solid understanding of health philanthropy, particularly in global/public health;
Demonstration of a strong understanding of EndHEP2030 and its vision and mission;
Well-rounded competence in all aspects of major fundraising campaigns and donor engagement;
Well-versed in the mechanism of, and have demonstrated successes in fundraising campaigns;
Well-connected with potential donors, especially for global health projects;
A self-starter and ability to work quickly, efficiently, and meet all outlined deadlines;
Well organized and structured, and highly effective at detail-oriented project management and account management;
Ability to assume total responsibility for the entire contract; and
Proficiency in English language skills is a must. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
