We are looking for a professional in development who is ready to take on disability with us in the Central Illinois region. The Vice President of Development (VP) serves as a member of the Executive Leadership Team and is responsible for the design, implementation and execution of comprehensive philanthropic programs and initiatives directed to meet short, intermediate and long-term financial needs of Easterseals. The VP is responsible for developing and cultivating long-term, meaningful relationships with new and existing donors. The VP is responsible for day-to-day operations including supervision of staff as well as the preparation and management of the departmental budget. The VP oversees Easterseals Marketing, Communications and Public Relations.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Major in marketing, public relations, communications, non-profit management, organizational leadership or related field. Master’s degree and CFRE preferred.
A minimum of ten years proven leadership and successful track record of comprehensive fund development, including but not limited to annual campaign, capital campaign, event marketing, individual, major and planned giving.
Proven track record of donor acquisition, cultivation, and stewardship.
Outstanding oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Outstanding leadership, organizational, management and supervisory skills.
Sound understanding of all facets of organizational advancement including marketing, communications, and public relations.
The position is located in Peoria, Illinois. Salary is commensurate with experience. Benefit package includes: medical, dental, vision, FSA, 401k with match, and PTO.
