4 Year Degree
Our story started more than 90 years ago when Deaconess Sophie Miller began collecting dimes to build a retirement home for retired clergy and their widows. Since that time, Episcopal Communities & Services (ECS) has been providing exceptional homes, services and care for seniors of all faiths and economic means.
ECS is now embarking on new affordable housing fund development and volunteer initiatives, and we are looking for a new Director of Development to join our executive team. This position is responsible for collaborating with the Board of Trustees, CEO, COO and Executive Directors to evaluate past philanthropy efforts and current capacity in order to build an integrated strategy and budget that will achieve targeted results over a one, three and 5-year span.
The ideal candidate will embrace the mission and core values of the organization, foster a culture of philanthropy throughout the family of companies, effectively communicate and connect with donors to align their passions with the organization's needs, and exhibit a fundamental interest in and concern for older adults from all walks of life.
We are looking for a team member who will embrace our past while leading our fund development efforts into the future.
Bachelor’s degree in humanities, nonprofit management or similar field with 5+ years of experience in fundraising or a combination of education and experience. Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation helpful but no required. Must be computer literate with ability to use Microsoft Office Suite. Experience using a fundraising database such as Raiser’s Edge is desired.
Our mission began in 1923 to provide housing, services and health care to older people of all faiths, especially those facing hardship. Over the years, the faces have changed, the needs have become more complex—and the resources to help have grown ever stronger. Today, from our Monrovia Support Services Office and our communities, the people of Episcopal Communities & Services (ECS) build on our e...xperience to serve new generations for the next century.
At ECS, we create exceptional communities & services for seniors.
